Dan Udey recently invited me to his workspace’s new location across the street in downtown Gastown. Their new building is a spacious two upper floor digs, with the brick and mortar architecture familiar to the now-gentrified street district. Included are separate washrooms for both sexes, shower stalls for overnight workings, a haunting freight elevator, spaces for kitchen utilities, a glass-encased meeting room and other separate compartments for fitness, work, eating and daily life.
A Thinking Ape builds seriously addictive mobile apps for the iPhone, and was recently named one of the top grossing developers on the Apple App Store worldwide. And we’re just getting started…
At the core of A Thinking Ape is a quickly growing group of ambitious software engineers who value ownership and creative freedom, data-driven decisions, and meritocracy over hierarchy. We like to think of ourselves as skilled craftsmen with an eye for great product design. (#)
