Jericho Beach

leaf carpet

As a follow up to this post. There’s something about the landscape and foliage in Vancouver that reminds me that we’re truly living in a densely populated rainforest, instead of the intoxicating sunshine of California or the ever-changing salt-tang breeze of the coastal beaches. Everything here appears more vivid, more vibrant in hue and saturation, smells fresher, invigorating and feels more connected to the earthy-ness after our always-oft sudden west coastal rainstorms.
