He had to be a genius or nothing, and since he couldn’t be creative he turned to bohemianism, eccentricity, social versatility, conquests. – Allen Ginsberg

Not not Sunset, Sunrise

Bird Lake

I am going to pretend that these are a series of sunrise photos. But they’re not. They’re a series of ‘oh it’s Vancouver and it’s the middle of winter so of course the sun sets in the middle of the afternoon.’ Naturally. Like I how pretend to be a serious-minded person while speeding like no-tomorrow power-walking in downtown (actually, everywhere). Because it is the city and panhandlers are fucking aggressive because you’re an asian girl. Naturally. Or like how I pretend to be an extroverted and outgoing person with pretty clothing but will clam up if you talk to me (unless it’s linguistics and literature and philosophy). Because that. is what. we. fucking. do.

Actually, I’m not really sure where I’m going with this but I hope you enjoy this series of pretend-sunrise photos from a few weeks ago. And I have the nicest, wisest, most awesome listener and good friend, my mentor Rob, ever. { MORE PHOTOS AT MY EST DRIFT PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG THAT I NEGLECT. A LOT. }

    The photo in your post looks like something out of a fantasy novel!
