A few years ago, petite gals were spending a small fortune on tailoring their jeans — now, most mass e-commerce sites have wised up and altered inseams, rises, and knee positioning to accomodate those with slighter statures. Experiment with pastel denim for spring, and choose skinny styles that are hemmed at the ankle or just below to lengthen your legs.

Here’s the thing about legs that go for days — it’s hard to find pants that can keep up. Slim, bootcut, and trouser silhouettes are most flattering on tall frames; look for hems to hit either right at your ankle or about an inch above the base of your heel.

J.Crew just released its March catalog, shot in the picturesque mountains of Uruguay, supplying us with cute color combo inspiration and covetable Spring separates. As expected, the looks are perfectly styled, showcasing green sequined skirts with purple cotton shirts, bright yellow shorts with cobalt-blue toppers, and our favorite look, silk printed trousers paired with an effortless denim button-up. Accessories featured an array of two-tone leather satchels and cute woven sandals, and if a warm vacation is set in your future, check out J.Crew’s collection of sweet vintage-inspired swimwear. Spring styling tips:
