A few months ago, specifically in the month o’ May, a few friends and I were shopping in Gastown and after perusing several fashion shops and antique stores, I discovered that Venus&Mars, a gothica lolita couture of wedding finery and lingerie beauty shop, sold pocket watches and chains for under $30 !! The lid snap doubles as a magnifying glass, perfect for my inner sleuthing detective persona, Nancy Drew.

The other day I was wandering the post-monolith of virgin megastore (now a demoted hmv) and happened upon the sales section upstairs, where I discovered a rare postcards edition of suicide bunnies for $5, an older series of comics I haven’t seen since since 2007.
Meet the family of the Suicide Bunnies: a humorous/cruel series of comics depicting bunnies in deathly-preferred situations in laugh out loud or creative, quirky ways.

Just in time for Halloween, PETA has setup an website dedicated to the anti-cruelty of live chickens, prior to their demise as delicious burger meat featured at the local McDonalds. Aptly renamed as McCruelty.com, PETA is offering free postal service delivery of a terrifying Ronald McDonald-esque halloween mask.

Latest purchases from a quick hop and skip to ikea coquitlam today. Usually I find that the children’s department contains more playful bright color equipment and furniture for daily life and activities, but today I wandered through the work & bedroom living spaces to find these glowing lovelies.
