ArtCamp07: RE:USE is a one-day un-conference that aims to bring the open, participatory and creative energy of BarCamp to the world of art in an interdisciplinary forum. It is a hybrid conference/workshop/etc event in which participants come together to show work, demo artworks, projects, research or technology, learn new hands-on practices, and talk about ideas.

The Web Directions North conference and workshops offer in depth, practical sessions on design and development with (X)HTML and CSS, user experience design, interaction development with Javascript and Ajax, information architecture, accessibility, RSS, user generated content and much more.

‘ve won a free lift-ticket and coach pass to Whistler, Blackcomb in February later next year thanks to the folks at Digital Web Magazine.



Net Tuesdays Widget Revolution

Net Tuesdays, a meeting where “social media and web innovators come together with social change makers and nonprofits to mix, swap stories and ideas, and build new relationships.” The latest evening I attended was about widgets: small tiny applications that are utilized as mini webpages/apps in other websites.
